Growing up a proud second generation immigrant, I always felt like women who looked like me were under-represented, and if we were, not to our full potential. I remember growing up infatuated with the beauty industry, of how beautifully you could tell a story with a captured moment: picture, outfit, makeup, hair or jewelry.
This initial spark ignited my journey into the modeling industry. Having spent years in front of the lens, I understand the critical nuances of production - how the success of a photograph depends on more than just posing; it requires a mastery of how colors, lighting and lenses work together to define the subject.
As a young girl, I experimented with makeup on myself, friends, family... really anyone who would be willing to sit still for me. What always stuck out to me was the lack of shades that fit our South Asian skin tones. I felt the weight of an industry gap when I realized a single bottle couldn't capture the complexity of my undertones.
& thus... my love affair and devotion to architecting the unique, eccentric aesthetics of my clientele began
